Lazy 500 is a versatile 500 ASA tungsten-balanced film stock, designed for cinematic colour and beautiful skin tones straight out of the scan. Under tungsten light it renders clean, neutral colour; under daylight it leans into cooler, moodier hues that feel distinctly filmic.

Ideally processed in ECN‑2, Lazy 500 has generous latitude and smooth grain, making it comfortable for both handheld night portraits and mixed‑light interiors. Whether you are shooting wide‑open on city streets or carefully composed studio work, it holds highlight detail while keeping shadows rich and interesting.

Best Results

  • Rated at EI 500 under tungsten or EI 320–400 under daylight for a softer look
  • Process in ECN‑2 for intended contrast and colour
  • Works well pushed up to 1000–1250 for low‑light, with punchier contrast
  • Great for portraits, interiors, concerts and any scene with practical tungsten light
